Mr. Kaihang Tang (唐开航), pseudonym Xingzheng (行稹), was born on 22 November 1948 in Qujing, Province Yunnan, P. R. China. As early as he was five years old, Mr. Tang started to learn the Chinese calligraphy. Due to his artistic talent and through his unremitting efforts, Mr. Tang absorbed the essence of a variety of calligraphy types, based on which he has developed his own style.

Since 1983, Mr. Tang has been an active member of many calligraphy associations of China, including the Institute of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy and the Chinese Pen Calligraphy Association. So far, Mr. Tang has already created many important works that have been displayed in different exhibitions and have won numerous prizes. In August 2007, some of his calligraphy works were published in the People's Daily (Overseas Edition), one of the largest cross-region newspapers in China.

Currently, Mr. Tang is working as honorary professor of calligraphy at the Teacher’s College of Qujing, Yunnan Province, P. R. China. His calligraphy works have been collected by friends from China, America, Germany, Italy, England, and Sweden, etc.
